About Picasso and the Bouquet of Peace (Le Bouquet De L’amitie)
Pablo Picasso was a Spanish artist and is one of the world’s most famous of the 19th century. At his later life Picasso became a vocal advocate for peace and did other paintings such as the Dove of Peace to showcase his commitment.

In July 1958, Picasso created the Bouquet of Peace to commemorate the peace demonstration held in Stockholm, Sweden. The original was a watercolor lithograph printed by Schuster, Paris.

This work displays a simple design of flowers, characterized by an intense display of color, with a significant message innately conveys a sense of hope and rebirth. The bouquet forms a bond between two individuals symbolized by two hands grasping the stems of the flowers to indicate the importance of brotherhood and amity.
